In this project, a customer in the packaging industry needed us to manufacture custom fill and inflator tubes for one of their packaging products. Our prior experience making inflator tubes as well as our ability to make and design the necessary fixturing and custom tooling in-house allowed us to complete this project faster and more efficiently than competing manufacturing firms. 		Custom Manufacturing of Surgical Devices for the Medical Industry At Zeman Manufacturing Company, we are known for our custom metal tube fabricating and precision cutting skills. We recently received an order for suction tubes for metal surgical devices. Due the outstanding breadth of our tube fabricating capabilities, we were able to fabricate and deliver these complex parts to the customer with a quick turnaround time. Recognizing that any device to be used in a medical application has to be absolutely burr-free, we used our automatic electrochemical cutting machine to accurately and repeatedly cut burr-free 304 stainless steel to tight tolerances. 		Custom Tube for the Thermocouple Industry Thermocouples are temperature measuring devices used in a wide range of applications. One of our customers in the food industry asked us to manufacture custom thermocouple probes for them, a project on which we were able to once again display our metal tube fabricating and cutting expertise. At Zeman Manufacturing, we specialize in large rush jobs such as this, and were the only supplier the customer could find that could provide parts delivery in only 3 weeks. These custom tubes were made from 3/8” diameter 304 stainless steel. Unlike other laser tube cutting, this small OD application was right in our wheel house. 		Custom Tube for the Natural Gas Industry At Zeman Manufacturing, we’ve been servicing the needs of the natural gas, energy, and heating industries since 1936. In the project highlighted here, we assisted a natural gas industry customer by manufacturing a large quantity of custom tubes. These tubes were designed for use as natural gas pipe stiffeners and combined a number of manufacturing processes. Manufacturing began with 0.900” diameter, 0.049” thick cold rolled steel which was annealed, drawn, and quenched. Our proprietary tooling for cutoff lathes allowed us to size and machine the barb into the tube sections in the same operation.
